ANNALISE, 2009 SENIOR

If your friends and family could only use three words to describe you, what would they be?

Outgoing, loyal, and funny.

If you could shop at any store, what would it be and what would you buy?

Hmm….I honestly don’t think I could narrow it down to one store. Two summers ago, I had to opportunity to take a tour of Europe. One of my favorite cities was Paris (A.k.a. The fashion capitol of the World!) If I could shop anywhere, I would go back to Champs Elysées, a famous street in Paris, in a heartbeat. :)

What are you looking forward to the most this year?

I am looking forward to making more memories with my three best girl friends; Sydney, Darby, and Jamie. We have been friends since the beginning of time and we want to make our senior year our best one yet.

What advice would you give upcoming seniors?

Don’t slack off. All of the hard work you put in will pay off in the long run. Also, savor every moment because life can change in an instant.

Name three things you cannot live without.

1)Friends and family. 2) Music. 3) My adorable golden doodle, Quincy Lucille.

What would you say is your guilty pleasure?

Grey’s Anatomy…and a vente blended chai tea at my favorite little coffee shop, The Vogue in Lake Chelan. :)

What’s the single most important thing you learned about yourself in your travels to Thailand this Summer?

As much as I loved Thailand, I realized how thankful I am to live in America. We take a lot of things for granted that the Thai people would kill to have. For example, it is so easy to get an education in the States. All Thai people have to pay to go to school from grade school on. A lot of the families do not have that kind of money.

If you could change any one thing in life, what would you change?

This is going to sound like the typical Miss America answer, but I would choose to end war. During my trip to Thailand this summer, I realized how similar everyone truly is. The Thai people were so gracious and loving. Family is so important to them, just like it is to us here in the United States. My wish is that everyone be more tolerant of our cultural and faith differences and recognize the similarities that we share as human beings.

My favorite ice cream flavor is….

Absolutely anything created by the two best boyfriends a girl can ask for, Ben and Jerry.  :)

Something I didn’t know yesterday, but I know today is….

that one of my favorite smells, a fresh rain, is caused by the moisture activating the bacteria on the ground. Refreshing, right? It’s still one of my favorites, regardless of the scientific definition.
