BEN, 2009 SENIOR

Ben,
Thanks for letting us be a part of your Senior Portrait experience! You’re

going to be a great Senior President!

What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning?

Waking up to a fresh start and being able to plan my own day.

What is your favorite movie genre?

Comedies. I am a big fan of stupid movies. Dumb and Dumber and Anchorman are hilarious.

What’s something that most people don’t know about you?

I have been saving up for a senior trip, with my friends, since my freshman year. We are planning on a road trip across the country.

PC or Mac?

Well I have never owned a Mac, but lately my PC has been getting filled with viruses which have really slowed it down. I hear Macs can’t catch viruses so I think I’m going to go with a Mac next time I buy a computer.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Sometimes My hair can get really crazy and annoying when it’s long, so I guess it would be kind of cool to have straight hair and not have to deal with these untamed, curly locks.

If you could have any super power what would it be?

I have always liked being in an airplane and looking down on cities, so if I could fly that would be pretty cool.

What is your favorite aspect of the Wenatchee area?

I like the Wenatchee area because there are so many different recreational things to do. There’s hiking, camping, boating, rafting, skiing and a lot more. The Wenatchee area is fun because if the weather is nice you can almost always find something to do.

If there was an extra hour in the day, what would you spend it doing?

I would spend it making movies with my friends.

What are you looking forward to the most this year as a Senior?

I am really looking forward to being in ASB next year. I can’t wait to make some changes around the school.

What advice would you give upcoming seniors?

Don’t dread going to school because it will only drag out your senior year. Take advantage of what school has to offer. High school is only as fun as you make it.

Mercedes, I just love all of your images – they’re fantastic! Thanks for letting us be a part of your Senior Portrait experience. :)

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

If I could go anywhere in the world it would have to be Rome, Italy because I’ve always wanted to see the beautiful buildings down there and especially the cathedrals.

The last song I heard on my IPOD was Bleeding In Love by Leona Lewis.

Favorite food?

My favorite food would have to be spaghetti. I love Italian food.

If I had an extra $100, I would…

If I had an extra $100, I would put it in my bank account and save it for a rainy day of course.

What inspires you?

What inspires me? People being in the service inspires me because they live to serve their country and to me that’s bravery.

What talent do you wish you possessed?

The talent I wish to possess would have to be to sing beautifully like a lot of people have out there in the real world and to be able to do it quite well.

What values or rules do you live by?

Values or rules I live by would have to be to respect others and treat others how you want to be treated and to be nice to people even if you don’t like them.

The last movie I saw was the new batman movie: The Dark Knight.

BRITTANY, 2009 SENIOR

Brittany – Thanks for letting us display your fantastic pictures! You are such a beautiful dancer and so driven to live your passions in life. :)

What would your perfect day consist of?

My perfect day would consist of sleeping in until 10:30, which would still leave me plenty of time for shopping at my favorite store in the early afternoon at American Eagle!  After shopping I would head home to my pool with my family and friends to soak up some sun, then head to the dance studio to be with my second family.

What’s something that most people don’t know about you?

Something that most people don’t know about me is that I put deep thought into my relationships with my family and friends.  I do not take any relationship lightly or take anything or anyone for granted.

When did you first realize you wanted dance to be a big part of your life?

I first realized that I wanted dance to be a big part of my life when I was 10 years old. It was the year I had my first solo, I loved the adrenaline rush and the feeling I got when I performed for the judges. I realized I wanted to pass my passion of dance on to other dancers  through choreography and teaching.

What’s your motto in life?

My motto in life is, “It’s your life, let it flow.” I have always believed that if you are too stressed in any situation in life, you will miss the moments that count and matter the most.

Chocolate or Vanilla?

Chocolate!

What is one thing you wish you were better at?

The one thing I wish I was better at is school sports. I have tried softball and soccer but it was just not the same as the feeling I receive from my sport, DANCING!

Where is your favorite place to eat lunch and why?

My favorite place to eat lunch is the Wok About Grill because I like that you get to pick and choose what you want and when you finally get to eat – it is still HOT!

What are your top five favorite movies of all time?

My top five favorite movies are:
  • Halloween (with Jamie Curtis)
  • Center Stage
  • Blair Witch Project
  • Life Or Something Like It
  • Cloverfield

What’s the best advice you could give someone?

The best advice I could give someone is “Have no regrets, forget the bad in the past, just remember what it all has taught you.”

Why would you recommend a friend go to Parsons for their Senior pictures?

I would recommend anyone to Parsons Photography because everyone is so welcoming and friendly. During my sessions, Craig and Dalisa were so helpful. They took their time with each of my poses and were very complimentary about my style and ideas!  They also connected with me on a personal level with their enthusiasm towards my dance session photos.  This really put me at ease and I was relaxed and excited to pose for the camera.  These are talented photographers who can bring out the best in you, they both made my sessions fun and relaxing!  I am so excited that I chose Parsons Photography for my senior portraits!

JENNIFER, 2009 SENIOR

Jennifer – Thanks so much for coming in and letting us be a part of your day. You’re such a beautiful girl and your talents are endless! Your Senior year is going to be a blast!

What are your two favorite websites?

My two favorite websites are Dreamhorse.com and aol.com.  Dreamhorse.com advertises horses for sale.  I spent two years searching this site (along with others) for the perfect horse.  I know it inside and out.

Aol.com keeps my life organized.  My daddy created my account when I was nine years old.  Though AOL is a little dated to some people, it serves my needs and I am able to stay in contact with the people around me.

Describe your dream Job. If you could do anything for a living what would it be?

My dream job, allowing it would provide financial support, would be designing horseshow clothes for a big barn.  When I say barn I mean a group of riders all riding under one name and trainer, similar to a club.  Horseshow clothes are very similar to something a Las Vegas show girl would wear, very glitzy and bright.  They also have very intricate designs on them, which are very fun to draw.  Designing the clothes would be very fun, as long as I don’t have to actually sew them.

What has been your biggest accomplishment so far?

I have been extremely fortunate to excel in almost everything I try.  My family has always supported anything I wanted to do.  This past fall I was the lead female cat in the Wenatchee School District’s “CATS.”  It was the most incredible thing to bring such joy to others, doing something I loved.  Making it through the long rehearsals, and trying to read the Paul Atwood’s (the director) mind, were tough things to do, but when I received a standing ovation, it was all worth it.  I lived a dream, my dream, there is nothing like that.

Where do you want to be in five years?

In five years, I hope to be through the first stages of college, hopefully not too far in debt.  I am not exactly sure what I want to study but I’m pretty sure it will require graduate school of some kind.  I would also love very much, as everyone does I’m sure, to be happy and successful.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

If I could go anywhere in the world I would defiantly go back to Africa.  My grandparents took me when I was in 6th grade and the culture and beauty was so different from anything I had every experienced.  I would love to go back and experience it again.

If there was an extra hour in the day, what would you spend it doing?

All the rest of the things I didn’t get done during the other hours during the day.

If your friends and family could only use three words to describe you, what would they be?

Efficient, Determined, Intelligent

If you could shop at any store, what would it be and what would you buy?

Adam & Eve, every pair of jeans they had in stock!

What are you looking forward to the most this year?

GRADUATION!

If you could choose two things that would never change, what would they be?

Love, and the ones I love.

KEITH, 2009 SENIOR

If you were going to a remote place, and could only take one CD with you, which one would you take?

Remote place? One CD?  I would have to bring my chamillionaire CD, my favorite rap artist of course.

Name three things you cannot live without:

Three things eh?  Well my computer of course, my IPod and well can’t forget my video games.

What is the best memory you have with your family?

Best memory I have of my family is of when we would go to the park on weekends when I was little.

What is one thing you want to accomplish for yourself this year?

One thing I want to accomplish this year is pretty much just to graduate with the best possible grades I can receive.

What advice would you give upcoming seniors?

Advice for upcoming seniors?  Plain and simple:  don’t screw up.

If I had an extra $100, I would….

With an extra $100.00 I would buy three days worth of gas.

What has been your biggest mistake and what did you learn from it?

Biggest mistake would’ve been when I was little and I thought the wall socket was a candy machine and I had a penny in my hand… I never got any candy and I never tried again.

Something that is puzzling to me is….

Something puzzling to me….. well people puzzle me, some really odd ones out there.

My favorite movie is:

My favorite movie?  Such a hard question, I’d have to say “I am Legend”

This week I will….

This week I will try to sleep, sleep, sleep and sleep.  Did I mention sleep?
