SLOAN, 2009 SENIOR

Sloan – you are such a fun gal! Keep up the great humanitarian work, and have a blast in Mexico this summer!

:) ~ Seana

What is one thing you want to accomplish for yourself this year?

One thing I would like to accomplish this year is to continue living life to the fullest; for me this means to continue volunteering and helping people, and having fun doing things. New experiences are a must for me!!!

What advice would you give upcoming seniors?

My advice would be enjoy life and enjoy being young. My saying that I always tell people is… “Don’t be afraid to let your light shine bright. Never back down from anything. You are a strong person.”

If you were going to a remote place, and could only take one CD with you, which one would you take?

That is a hard one since music plays such a huge role in my life. I guess it would be a tie between the Juno soundtrack or a Dashboard Confessional CD.

If you could, would you end hunger or hatred?

Wow… can I say both. :) I would probably choose hunger. So many places in this world people are living in starvation and are dying from it. Maybe if people were not having to worry about trying to find food so they could still live, they would be less likely to be mean.

What is one thing you wish you were better at?

Confrontation… All of my friends say I need to work on that. I supposedly am too nice and need to stick up for myself. I just let everything roll off…

The best thing about me is…

My compassion for others. A huge part of my life is focused on other people, because of that I love volunteering and going on mission trips.

Describe your ideal weekend.

My ideal weekend would be to go to Holden Village and just hang out. Holden Village is my favorite place in the whole wide world. It is so peaceful and tranquil.

Name 4 things that are always in your bag.

My cell phone, my digital camera, my car keys, and play dough (I love play dough!)

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

Umm… anything that has peanut butter and chocolate together. Whoever thought to put those two things together is a GENIOUS!!! That is why Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are amazing!!!

My favorite thing about going to Parsons was…

How comfortable they make you feel. I really enjoyed every one of the photographers. I really liked how they were also not scared to try new angles and poses. It was an all around amazing time. :)

What is one thing you want to accomplish for yourself this year?

One thing I want to accomplish for myself this year is to get into the college Seattle Pacific University.

I would recommend Parsons to my friends because….:)

I would recommend Parsons to my friends because even though it was a long session the photographers made me feel so comfortable which made the time go by very quickly. It was amazing how many different poses and backgrounds they had to choose from. But most importantly, I would recommend Parsons to my friends because the photographers are all so friendly and want to do their best in taking your senior pictures.
